Overview
The Recycling Binfluencer is a handy gadget that reminds me when it’s time to put the recycle bin out. Built with old hardware I had lying about as a small test of what AI can do. Like all grand plans the idea was this would be able to geolocate, got to the relevant council page, look up when recycling day is for that particular location, and flash if today was the day. But in the end it was easy just to have the user select the appopriate day and just let it run.
Powered by a BBS micro:bit and two high powered LED. Flashes green when it is regular bin day and flashes yellow when it is recycle bin day.
